Julien Beautemps

Artist of great sensitivity, excellent performer, arranger, and composer, Julien Beautemps is renowned for his virtuosity and powerful interpretations. His outstanding musical ability has earned him accolades such as Best Artist of the Francophone Countries, 1st Prize at the International Accordion Competition in Castelfidardo, 3rd place at the Trophée Mondial de l’Accordéon, and 1st Prize at the International Leopold Bellan Competition.

He began playing the accordion at the age of 5, graduated from the CRR (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional) in Paris, and continued his studies at the Conservatoire de Paris where he earned his Bachelor's degree with honors. Currently, he is pursuing a master's degree in chamber music and solo performance. Julien Beautemps has participated in numerous festivals including "Nuits de Nacre" in Tulle, France Musique, Cap Ferret Music, "Accordéons-nous.org" Festival in Belgium, International Accordion Artists Festival in Serbia, and "Festival Musique de Chambre" in Normandy, France. In his concerts, he presents original compositions and arrangements of works by great 20th-century piano composers. Apart from solo performances, Julien regularly collaborates with Greek guitarist Sotiris Athanasiou (Argos Duo) and has founded Ensemble Meliphages, a quintet of young musicians who are students at the Conservatoire de Paris.
