MiCo

MiCO is a collective founded in 2020 by Michele Santoriello, an emotional bassist and composer full of curls and ideas, a versatile artist who intertwines different spirits, thoughts, forms, and musical languages. MiCO, both his nickname and creation, translates feelings, scenarios, and moments of lived life into music.

In 2021, the collective released their self-titled album under Abeat Records, enhanced by the expressive contribution of trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso. It's an enjoyable album, meant to be listened to and revisited, full of rhythm and pathos, yet outside traditional canons. In 2022, the album won the national competition in the instrumental category titled "L’Artista che non c’era" (The Artist Who Wasn't There).

In 2023, three new singles featuring the voice of Emilia Zamuer were released. MiCO is now preparing for the release of "Volume II".

The artistic collective includes:
"MiCO" Michele Santoriello – bass, vocals.
Massimo Valentini – alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, baritone saxophone, vocals.
Davide Marini – piano, synthesizer, background vocals.
Paolo Sorci – electric and acoustic guitar, background vocals.
Matteo Salvatori – percussion.
Christian Marini – drums, background vocals.
