Summer Souvenir is the musical project born from the meeting of four extraordinary artists in a story all along the seaside. During a summer vacation at Monte Conero (Ancona), Daniel John Martin, a renowned violinist in the European swing and jazz manouche scene, casually met Giammarco Polini, a guitarist from Marche, immediately forming a strong friendship. Their shared sensitivity for manouche sounds led to expanding the group to include Mauro Cimarra, drummer, and Pierpaolo Chiaraluce, bassist, to provide rhythmic solidity to the interpretation.

The immediate understanding among the four musicians spurred the group to create a record to be recorded in the studio.

The songs chosen for this self-titled album are standards from the American songbook: nothing was prepared beforehand; everything was born directly in the recording studio to allow each musician to express themselves freely, much like a grand jam session embracing worlds, people, ideas, and feelings. *Summer Souvenir* will seal over time the beautiful encounter between musicians who, despite coming from different countries and backgrounds, share a passion for a universal musical language. This shared passion has enabled them to fully experience and mutually admire the sincere friendship that emerged through this album.
